K.D. Kells is a Melbourne-based writer of Young Adult fiction.

In 2023 she was awarded a residential fellowship at Varuna for her YA near-future sci fi manuscript. Her short fiction has been short-listed in the Australian Writer's Centre Flash Fiction competition, and published by the Queensland Writers Centre. She has the won First Five Pages competition on two seperate occasions.

She has a background in publishing and graphic design, and spends her days fighting her cat for control of her computer. She has completed a Postgraduate Certificate of Publishing and Editing at Monash University.

K.D. Kells loves all things food and tea related. She has a guilty weakness for Japanese dramas and kids cartoons.
